Little is known about the history of this beaded evening gown. The undergarmentis of pale peach silk in good condition. The silk tulle overlay is embellished with beads, pearls and sequins, rivaling contemporary designers such as Armani.The real need for conservation is in the severe damage in the sleeves. the fragilityof the tulle combined with the weight of the beading have resulted in the near disintegration of the top of the bodice.
